Game 61 Preview: Avs @ Flyers

With the NHL on the verge of the trade deadline, the Avalanche (17-40-3) begin a road trip in Philadelphia (28-26-7).

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

It may get lost in all the commotion, but the Avalanche have a game tonight. They are playing the Philadelphia Flyers to kick off a three-game road trip. That much we know. What we don't know is who will be donning the Avalanche A during those games. With the Avs still sitting at the bottom of the NHL they are expected to be selling. Players like Jarome IginlaJohn MitchellFedor Tyutin, and Rene Bourque are expected to be playing their last game in an Avalanche sweater tonight. But what about those stars that we have grown to love, thinking they would be the core of the next Avalanche team to bring a Stanley Cup to Denver? Big names have already gone off the market, will one of the Avalanche be next? Will Tuesday's game in Philly be Matt Duchene's last as a Colorado Avalanche?

- The Flyers lead the league in shootout games.

Jarome Iginla's goal against the Predators Thursday was only his 4th non power play goal of the season and his first in 26 games.

- In honor of the trade deadline tomorrow, the latest entry in next great Avs goal song has a fitting name...
