The 27-year-old goaltender had a successful weekend, and is receiving recognition from the League

The Colorado Eagles received some recognition from the league today, as it has been announced that Clarke Saunders has been awarded the ECHL Goaltender of the Week.

In this past weekend's series against the Alaska Aces, Saunders went 2-0-0 which includes one shutout. He also compiled a 0.48 goals-against average, and a save percentage of .982.

Last Friday against the Aces, Saunders stopped all 24 shots that he faced to cruise to a 4-0 victory, and he also made 30 saves in a 2-1 shootout victory last Saturday.

The Eagles are set to travel to Wichita to take on the Wichita Thunder on Wednesday, February 8th at 6:00pm MT.
