Avs Will Play Two Games in Sweden Next Season

The Avs will play Ottawa twice in Stockholm next season

Today it was announced that the Colorado Avalanche will take their talents to Stockholm, Sweden next season. The Avs will do battle with the Ottawa Senators on November 10th and 11th as a part of the NHL’s Global Series presented by SAP. The game on the 10th will begin at 2 PM eastern/NOON mountain, and the game on the 11th will start at 3PM eastern/1PM mountain.

Why send Sweden the punishment of two Avalanche games? Captain Gabe Landeskog, basically. Why send Sweden the nice gift of a couple Senators games? Erik Karlsson, basically. Those two guys will put Swedish butts in Swedish seats.

So, because Avalanche fans have endured enough this season, thanks to great mercy, only 4o Avalanche games will be played at Pepsi Center next season, as opposed to the regular 41. If you’re a diehard Senators fan living in Colorado, or a diehard Avs fan living in Ontario. welp. You either have to fly across the Atlantic, or, if you’re in Ontario, go to Toronto and see them play the Leafs.
