NHL: Colorado Avalanche at Pittsburgh Penguins Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Good evening all. After a night off to watch the big club go through the motions we’re back with more CHL playoffs and a game the Rampage ought to have well in hand tonight.

Rampage vs Tucson

The Rampage have owned the PDORunners this year so this is a good opportunity in the march for 30 wins.

Julien Nantel is back with the team after completing his 5 games with the Colorado Eagles and qualifying for the ECHL post-season. Brady Shaw was released from his Rampage ATO and immediately signed one with the Eagles.

Lines/Pairs from Saturday:

Bourke - OB - Bourque
Elson - Smitty - Petryk
Ranford - Girard - Grimaldi
Greer - Belzile - St Amant

Duncan - Clark
Geertsen - Gelinas
Boikov - Young

Martin
Cannata

Scratch: Bigras (LBI), Nunn (nacho), Storm (not ready yet) + chronics

Geertsen and Gelinas turned into the de facto offensive pairing, both guys got most of the PP time with Boikov taking a small amount of minutes. Mason has really stepped up his game now that he plays every night and gets real minutes, imagine that. Bigras left Friday’s game with LBI and is d2d, Dan Weiss is putting him as doubtful for tonight. Ben Storm was Dan’s interview today and since this is the softest opponent left it might be a good game to try him out. Nantel is back in town, would love to see him back in the lineup as well.

J-C Beaudin and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies traveled to Halifax on Sunday to face the Mooseheads in Game 3 of their series tonight. Beaudin has a pair of assists so far, including on the OT game-winner Saturday

Nicolas Meloche and the Charlottetown Islanders move to Baie-Comeau for their Game 3 tonight. Meloche has a goal and assist in a series that CHA has outscored the Drakkar 13-4.

OHL

Travis Barron and the 67’s made a plucky comeback Sunday to even the series with Mississauga at 1. Barron started the scoring with a PPG (and eventual game-winner).
