While the Avs may have loss seven in a row and may still be in a season where they have one of the worst offensive numbers in the history of the game let alone the salary cap era, there may be something to get excited about now for Avalanche fans. That something is the future and one of the biggest pieces for that future for the Avalanche is about to make his NHL debut Friday night.

- Sven Andrighetto has six points in his last four games.
- Tyson Jost will wear number 27 for the Avalanche.
