While the Avs may have loss seven in a row and may still be in a season where they have one of the worst offensive numbers in the history of the game let alone the salary cap era, there may be something to get excited about now for Avalanche fans. That something is the future and one of the biggest pieces for that future for the Avalanche is about to make his NHL debut Friday night.
Tyson Jost signed his entry level contract with the Avalanche Wednesday, foregoing more time at the University of North Dakota. The Avalanche's 2016 first round draft pick impressed in his freshman year at UND, scoring some highlight reel goals. Now Jost gets a chance to take that potential to the NHL level where he will look to ignite a dismal Avalanche squad for the last six games of the season.
