GDT: 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs 4/22/17

NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Edmonton Oilers at San Jose Sharks John Hefti-USA TODAY Sports

After a light but rockin’ schedule last night that saw part or all of 3 overtime periods, we return to a full slate of 3 games with the bonus that none are concurrent. All 3 are elimination games and could be the death toll for Minnesota, Montreal and San Jose.

3pm ET - STL @ MIN on NBC, Bloos lead 3-1 and really need to finish this the fuck off

8pm ET - MTL@ NYR on NBC, Rags won the decisive game 5 and are up 3-2

10:30pm ET - EDM @ SJS on NBCSN, after a blowout game 4 the Sharks fizzled on the road in game 5 and trail 3-2. I think this one’s going 7.

Tomorrow’s schedule is similar but with no late game

Nic Meloche’s Islanders won their 9th straight QMJHL playoff game (with 0 losses so far) last night 3-zip and look very stout. They take on Blainville again tonight at 6pm ET on LHJMQ en Directe. I highly recommend watching our young D prospect if you have the chance, he’s the real deal.

The beloved Eagles rose from the dead with less than 3 minutes to go in the 3rd and down by 3 last night (recap here by MHH’s own JJ Seaward) and won in OT. Colorado can clinch the series with a win at CenturyLink Center in Boise tonight, puck drops at 9:10pm on ECHL Live.
