The Colorado Eagles were able to move onto the next round of the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs, as they would win four straight against the Idaho Steelheads after dropping Game 1 of the series. The Eagles will have a tough opponent up next for them, as they will be playing against the defending Kelly Cup champions, the Allen Americans.

The Eagles would get off to a good start, as an odd man rush would occur for the Eagles, and Julien Nantel would be able to bury his third goal of the playoffs, and give the Eagles the early 1-0 lead.

Only a few minutes later, the Eagles would find themselves on the powerplay, and Luke Salazar would snap a shot from the top of the circle finding the back of the net past Steelheads goalie to give the Eagles the early 2-0 lead in the opening frame.

The Eagles would then increase their lead, as Matt Register would release from the box and would quickly join fellow teammate Maclise on an odd man rush for the Eagles. Maclise would receive the puck and snap it into the bakc of the new to get his first goal of the postseason, give the Eagles the 3-0 lead in the first period.

Idaho would finally get onto the scoreboard, as defenseman Travis Walsh would wire a shot from the point that would find the back of the net.

However, the Eagles would be able to regain their three goal lead, as Maclise would get his second goal of the game, as he would deflect a pass that would find its way into the back of the net.

Idaho would gain some steam, as they would score two back-to-back goals only 3 minutes apart to be within one goal of the Eagles.

The Eagles would be able to convert on a 5-on-3 powerplay opportunity, as Alex Belzile would stuff home a loose puck from the side of the net to give the Eagles the 5-3 lead early on into the second period.

The Steelheads would attempt to mount a comeback in the final frame, but the Eagles and Hafner would be able to fend them off, as Ryan Harrison would be able to take advantage of an Eagles empty net to put the game away for the Eagles, and punch their ticket to the next round.
