GDT: Avalanche at Bloos 4/9/17 - The End

NHL: Colorado Avalanche at Dallas Stars Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Good afternoon everyone. Your Colorado Avalanche take on the Bloos of St Looey today in the Gateway to the West. Gamer time is 6:00pm ET, 4:00pm on the front range and will be broadcast on Altitude with Moser’s radio call available as usual.

As far as the game goes, Siemens, Lindholm and Grimaldi have been sent down to San Antonio as of this morning so they wont be in the lineup. I’d love to go on a long diatribe about this but fuck it, not worth the effort right now. Pickard will be back in nets.

This will be the final game in an Avs uniform for more than a handful of these fellows, love ‘em or hate ‘em they deserve at least some tepid applause.

To all of you that stuck with it throughout this buzzkill of a season, I’m glad we could still hang in the game threads and share the misery. For me at least, it helps to ameliorate pure negative emotions and keep a bit of constructive interest going in the face of a hopeless situation. Tomorrow morning the mops & brooms get to work and regardless of how that goes, what is shall not be anymore.

We conclude the “82 songs the Avs might have considered instead of Delirious” feature today with “Death or Glory” by The Clash. Enjoy.
