Good morning all. We have a BIG night ahead with a pair of games 7 to fill the last 2 spots in the conference finals.
Important question #1: What new & exciting way are the Washington Capitals going to find to blow this and rip their fans’ hearts to shreds once again? Fun fact: The Penguins have defeated the Caps in all 3 games 7 the two teams have played against one another.
Important question #2: What in the world are we going to see in Anaheim tonight? This series has had it all, blowouts, double overtime, bad goaltending, goony play on both sides, highly skilled play on both sides. I can’t imagine anyone being comfortable with predicting this game. Best thing we have to go on is that the Ducks always lose in game 7, but with Boudreau gone that could change.
Before all that we have a couple of IIHF Worlds contests featuring our beloved Avalanche stars. Team USA faces Italy, who got demolished by Russia the other day 10-1. I’m thinking Compher will be killing it today. Later on, Mikko and the struggling Finns take on a sub-par Slovenian squad. Finland is currently 6th in group B and needs all 3 points badly.
