Good morning sports fans. The NHL takes a day off after the Caps choke-o-rama and evil triumphing over good in the Pacific series. The Worlds don’t, Avs players are involved in 3 games today. In the early set, Andrei Mironov and the Russians look to continue their solid campaign against Denmark.

The Swedes have been sneaky bad so far, earning only 4 points in 3 games and right now sit on the outside of the elimination rounds in Group A. It won’t get any easier today as Landy, Carl & everybody battle Bob Hartley and his surprising 1st place Latvian team.

Canada has cruised through Group B but face a solid French team boosted by the home crowd. TC will be without the services of Tyson Barrie for the rest of the tourney due to a leg laceration suffered in a wrestling incident at the team hotel. More fodder for those that question Barrie’s maturity and commitment to taking hockey seriously.
