Colin believes that his moustache can give him special hockey powers. He explains that this is his moustache was a special tribute to former Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames and Colorado Rockies’ great, Lanny McDonald.

Fun Fact: The interviewer repeatedly draws a comparison to Tom Selleck’s moustache. Colin shows his age here by admitting he does not know who that is.

Colin’s facial hair prowess is further evident in this impressive playoff beard he grew to intimidate his opponents this spring.

Colin admits he he gets sunburnt quite easily, but that doesn’t deter him from working on his beach tan!

Environmentalist

Colin is passionate and outspoken about the problems of climate change. He speaks very articulately on the subject in an Instagram post:

This is not a political post, this is a post for my respect for science and the environment. Before the industrial revolution CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere were at 280 parts per million, in 2017 we sit at 410 ppm. Those original 280ppm keeps our earth from being in a constant freeze as these molecular structures trap in heat, so you can see why a 40% increase is very significant. This increase is a direct result from humans burning fossil fuels and deforestation.The last 3 years have been the hottest on record, each year surpassing the last. This is just a quick explanation of the science behind global warming. I encourage everyone to do research on this crucial subject as science and truth are not up for political debate. If you respectfully disagree, I honor your right to do so.
