Dominic Toninato, a product of the USHL and NCAA, has signed a two-year entry level contract with the Colorado Avalanche. The 6’2” 194lbs centerman was the captain of the University of Minnesota-Duluth in his final year, putting up 29 points in 42 games. He was named the best defensive forward in the NCHC last year as well as to the All-Tournament team.

Toninato became an unrestricted free agent on Agusut 15th after the Toronto Maple Leafs, who drafted him in the 5th round (126th overall) in 2012 did not sign him.
