Good morning all. Sandie’s on vacation so I will be supplying the light snowfall this week. Let’s get to it.
Colorado Avalanche
- TVA’s Mikael Lalancette reported over the weekend that the Rampage have signed forward Michael Joly to an AHL contract. Joly spent his junior career in Rimouski and played for Hartford (AHL) and Greenville (ECHL) last season. He was also in Leafs Rookie Camp a few years ago, check out some highlights here. I’m going to take a wild guess and say we’ll get an official announcement on Tuesday.
- The Avs signed Minnesota-Duluth captain and former Leafs 5th rounder Dominic Toninato to an ELC last week and he joined Marc Moser on Alt950 for a chat on Thursday. Check out Hardev’s profile on him here.
- We’re getting to the final spots in the Top 25 Under 25 series. Gabe Landeskog and Tyson Jost are our most recent, coming in at #3 & #4. Who will be #1? Find out soon.
Around the League
- Will Butcher is making a tour of a few NHL cities, Tampa isn’t one of them. [Tampa Bay Times]
- Nick Cotsonika writes about Gerard Gallant and the Vegas Golden Knights taking a tour of former Avalanche territory in the inter-mountain West. [NHL.com]
- Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl might not be as far apart as they seem. [OilersNerdAlert]
