Mourning Flurries: Will Duchene or Landeskog be traded?

Montreal Canadiens v Colorado Avalanche

Before we head into the links, I would like to thank all of you for allowing me to share this glorious little space on the Internet.

We have been through great hockey moments and some incredibly frustrating and sad hockey moments together. We have been through deaths, births, weddings, divorces and everything in between together. Thank you for being the kind of community that steps up and helps each other and looks out after each other.

When I posted a GoFundMe for one of our members you all helped at such an incredible speed that he received double what he was asking for... all within 24 hours. I sat there stunned, and amazed, as you all poured in and helped him and shared the love. Any time something horrible happened somewhere in the world, there was an immediate showing in the community requesting that those in the affected areas “check in”. You have all showed me how wonderful, caring, and compassionate people can be. In this world, that can be a tough thing to remember.

When people have asked me about my time on Mile High Hockey and what my most memorable part was, the first thought in my head wasn’t the weekend I spent at the Combine, interviewing Landeskog his rookie year, getting to call some of the players or anything else strictly hockey related. It’s always been you, the community, the ones who have kept me here for almost eight years. It doesn’t matter if we only talked here, if we also chatted on the Twitterverse, or if we shared laughs and time together without the Internet. You have always been what matters most to me.

I will miss all of you and hope that you contact me on Twitter and keep in touch. I will miss writing for MHH and being part of this family. Please, continue taking care of each other. I won’t be far.
