Today the Colorado Avalanche announced three players were being cut from training camp and reassigned to other team.

Dominic Toninato has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage. Toninato joined the Avalanche as a free agent this summer after passing on a contract offer from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Reid Petryk is also assigned to the Rampage where he has spent the past two seasons.

Finally, Conor Timmins has been reassigned to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL. He’ll be down there for the season now, as junior players can not be called up unless there’s an emergency that the AHL/ECHL teams can’t provide a player.

The Avalanche camp is down to 29 players, and will play their final pre-season game on Thursday September 28th against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
