What a week for Nathan MacKinnon.

Four goals in three games, two game-winners, and an undefeated team that has won its ninth game in as many tries has made for a rewarding week for the Colorado Avalanche’s leading man. His team is back in a playoff spot, he’s being looked at for Hart Trophy consideration, and, of course, there’s now his First Star of the Week honors.

Game 1 vs Anaheim

MacKinnon notched his 20th goal of the season on the heels of one of Jonathan Bernier’s best saves of the season. The game-winning goal led the Avalanche to a 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Game 2 vs San Jose

MacKinnon kicked off the game with two goals and threw in an assist on the game-winning goal to lead the Avs to a 5-3 win over the San Jose Sharks.

Game 3 vs New York

MacKinnon assisted on Erik Johnson’s goal to open the game before potting the eventual game-winner himself for the eventual 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers.

Three game-winning points in as many games. Nathan MacKinnon is clutch.
