There really isn’t a whole lot to say about this afternoon’s game. After a thrilling come from behind win in Nashville, the Avalanche come home looking to get another win and force a Game 7.

What did we hear coming into the series?

Nashville in 4.

Nashville in 5.

Outsiders didn’t give the Avs a chance to get this far - this was the ultimate David vs Goliath series.

Heading into Sunday afternoon’s game, no one should be surprised by anything this Avalanche team does anymore. Colorado is now 2-0 in elimination games this season and will look to use home ice advantage to improve on that record.

After setting an Avalanche franchise record for most saves in a regulation length playoff win, Andrew Hammond is the reason we get to see a game 6. If the Avs want to go any further, he’s likely going to have to do the same today.

We all know what the Hamburglar can do when he gets on a run - maybe Hammond has another crazy hot streak up his sleeve.

Colorado Avalanche

Given that they won game 5, we should not expect any lineup changes today.

Gabriel Landeskog - Nathan MacKinnon - Mikko Rantanen

Tyson Jost - Alexander Kerfoot - Sven Andrighetto

Matt Nieto - Carl Soderberg - Blake Comeau

Colin Wilson - J.T. Compher - Gabriel Bourque

Nikita Zadorov - Tyson Barrie

Patrik Nemeth - Mark Barberio

Duncan Siemens - Sam Girard

Andrew Hammond

Spencer Martin

After serving his one-game suspension, Ryan Hartman is going to be back in the lineup for the Predators tonight. Let’s hope the game off gave him a little perspective so he doesn’t come out running around like the fool he has been in this series - I’m not holding my breath.

Filip Forsberg - Ryan Johansen - Viktor Arvidsson

Kevin Fiala - Kyle Turris- Craig Smith

Colton Sissons - Nick Bonino - Austin Watson

Miikka Salomaki - Mike Fisher - Ryan Hartman

Roman Josi - Ryan Ellis

Mattias Ekholm - P.K. Subban

Alexei Emelin - Matt Irwin

Pekka Rinne

Juuse Saros

Do they force a game 7 or is the end of the miracle run for the Avs
