The Avalanche have released the 29-player roster that will represent the team in the upcoming Vegas Rookie Faceoff which kicks off on September 8th. The list -- featuring a mixture of prospects, rookies, camp invitees, and amateur tryouts -- includes 2018 draft picks Martin Kaut, Justus Annunen, and Brandon Saigeon. Others such as Cale Makar are ineligible due to NCAA limitations or differing commitments with their European teams.
The roster also features 19 of the 20 players that participated in this years summer development camp. Vlaidslav Kamenev is the only skater on the roster with NHL experience.
The group will hit the ice against the Golden Knights on Sept. 8th (7 p.m PT), versus Anaheim on Sept. 9th (5 p.m PT), and finally against San Jose on Sept. 11th (11:30 a.m. PT). There will be a practice held at Family Sports Center on Sept. 7th (9:30 a.m) that is open to the general public on a first come, first served basis.
