It was a relatively slow day for the still undefeated Colorado Avalanche who practiced at the home rink of their next opponent, the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was also a quiet day around the league as well after a couple of crazy opening weeks.

After one start and loss with the Utah Grizzlies in his first ECHL start, goaltender Hunter Miska was recalled to the Colorado Eagles. No word on a subsequent move or if the Eagles just wanted extra depth in net on hand.

Old friend Chris Stewart finally traded in his PTO with the Philadelphia Flyers for a one year NHL contract. Stewart spent last season playing in England for the Nottingham Panthers in the EIHL so this is quite the comeback story for him.
