The Avs
The Colorado Avalanche won a wild game in Florida last night, defeating the Panthers 5-4 in overtime and erasing 2-0, 3-1, and 4-3 deficits in regulation. As it turned out, it was a good thing Nathan MacKinnon was good to go yesterday, because he was originally a game-time decision. Here is the full recap of the game.
Nathan MacKinnon scored in overtime as the @Avalanche improved to 6-0-1 and matched the second longest season-opening point streak in franchise history (7-0-0 in 1985-86 and 5-0-2 in 1997-98). #NHLStats pic.twitter.com/2aKA0Bvq5p

Nathan MacKinnon joked after that because he was in South Florida that he channeled the power of Kodak Black. #Avs

The Prospects
Alex Newhook said it himself. His sister Abby is better than him at hockey:
Born and raised in St. John’s, N.L., Alex and Abby Newhook share a bond that's fueled by their love of the game. It's a bond that's had to extend itself as both players chase their hockey dreams across the continent.@hometownhockey_ | @loung_shttps://t.co/BqKeljPshp
