Morning Flurries: Rest and Recovery Needed

Colorado Eagles’ Martin Lind and Akim Aliu release joint statement

A day of rest was needed for the Colorado Avalanche as they were delayed departing St. Louis and did not arrive to Chicago until 5am yesterday morning. Therefore practice was canceled and any lineup news is forthcoming at morning skate before facing the Blackhawks tonight.

Continuing amends on an unfortunate situation a joint statement was released by Colorado Eagles owner and CEO Martin Lind and Akim Aliu.

For subscribers to the Athletic, a very interesting in-depth piece about Yu Sato who plays in the QMJHL for the Quebec Remparts. The Avalanche have Japanese player in their minor system in Yuri Terao who currently plays for the Utah Grizzlies and likely has experienced a similar journey playing hockey in North America.
