I’m back with your weekly prospect report on the only Colorado Avalanche prospect still playing this season (as a prospect, so Cale Makar doesn’t count anymore). Since we last checked in on Brandon Saigeon, his Oshawa Generals were down 2-1 in their second round series to the Niagara Ice Dogs.
Well, in a week, the Generals stormed back to win the next three games (four straight, in fact) to take the series and send the Ice Dogs packing. Saigeon had a goal and two assists in the last two games and finished the series with six points in six games.
What a set-up from @brandonsaigeon & what a quick shot from @antro_90 for the game winner #OSHvsNIAG pic.twitter.com/BejyDVGanY

The Generals have advanced to the Eastern Conference Final against the powerhouse Ottawa 67’s. The 67’s were the only team in the OHL to finish with over 100 points in the regular season and haven’t lost a playoff game yet, having swept both of their series’ so far. Game 1 is Thursday at 7pm in Ottawa.
