Earlier this morning, NBC released their national broadcast schedule for the 2019-20 NHL season. After playing on the national stage six times last season, the Colorado Avalanche will double that number this year.
NBC will broadcast a dozen Avalanche games this season including five appearances on Wednesday Night Hockey as well as the Stadium Series game at Falcon Stadium against the Los Angeles Kings on February 15th. Seven of the 12 games will be at home in front of the Pepsi Center crowd.

The national schedule will feature matchups against Sidney Crosby, Rasmus Dahlin, Kaapo Kakko as well as five games against division rivals.
This schedule show that the NHL’s national broadcast partner has a renewed interest in an Avalanche team that promises to be one of the most exciting in the league. With Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, Nazem Kadri and Cale Makar leading the way, the Avalanche play a an uptempo, high-event style - one that will now be on display for fans in other markets.
Avalanche fans know how fun this team is to watch, now the rest of the country gets to witness it as well.
