Colorado Avalanche announce Training Camp roster and schedule

Training camp officially begins today and we have schedules and rosters all laid out for you below! Camp will take place at the Family Sports Center and will run from Friday through till Monday. All public events are free and open to the public, so if you have time to come down and see the boys, you are very much encouraged to!

Below you will find the schedule for the players, along with the rosters that will be on the ice. The camp will be split into two groups that have yet to be announced. Stay tuned to our social media for an update on that. There should be some fun team names coming out of that. Any guesses?

Schedule

Friday, Sept. 13

Training Camp at Family Sports Center
Group 1 on ice: 8:15 - 10:15 a.m.
Group 2 on ice: 10:25 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 14

Training Camp at Family Sports Center
Group 2 on ice: 8:45 - 10:45 a.m.
Group 1 on ice: 10:55 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 15

Training Camp at Family Sports Center
Group 1 on ice: 8:15 - 10:15 a.m.
Group 2 on ice: 10:25 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 16

Practice at Family Sports Center
Group 2 on ice: 9:00 - 10:15 a.m.
Group 1 on ice: 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Roster

Below are the rosters at forward, defense, and goaltender. Here are some fun facts about the group:

  • Notable New Numbers: Nazem Kadri (#91), Joonas Donskoi (#72), Bowen Byram (#45), Calle Rosen (#48).
  • There are 32 forwards, 20 defensemen, and 5 goaltenders. 57 total.
  • 23 players were drafted, 14 acquired via trade, 13 signed as a free agent, 3 were acquired via waivers, 7 are on AHL contracts, and 1 player is on a PTO (Colin Campbell).
  • 38 are lefties, and 19 righties. A surprisingly even 2:1 ratio.
