A Sweet Daddy-Daughter Moment
#GirlDad has been trending online recently in the wake of Kobe Bryant’s death and the fact that he had four daughters, including Giana who also died in the helicopter crash. Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog has been spending time with his wife and daughter over the break. The other day, he posted a video of a “conversation” he was having with his daughter as she made sounds and he replied to her.
National General Manager
Current New York Rangers assistant general manager Chris Drury will continue his role as general manager of the United States national team. This will be his second year in the role as the US prepares for the 2020 IIHF World Championship in May. The team finished in 7th place last year. Drury previously served on the management team for the US in 2016 and 2017.
“Anytime you have a chance to represent your country on the international stage — in whatever capacity — it’s truly an honor,” Drury said. ... I’m looking forward to working with the men’s national team advisory group in putting together a roster and staff that will represent our country well.” - NHL.com

Fan Post (Kinda)
@Jibblescribbits is a twitter personality known to most Avalanche fans. He’s a longstanding member of the community and often has one of the more level headed perspective towards the team. It seems as though he has spent a long time thinking about the polarizing Stadium Series jerseys and as such, he’s decided to talk about them - thank to a little ‘encouragement’ from our managing editor.
Even though those jerseys suck, Tom has a point: The NHL is boring, uncreative and overly conservative. Teams run out the same 3-4 striped patters of Red, Blue, Black & White and maybe, if they feel frisky, Yellow.
NHL teams should experiment more. And sometimes experiments will fail, and come will go off the rails (like the Avs and Kings Stadium series). But It’s fair to ask “If I don’t like the Stadium series, what are some creative ideas that could still look good.”
