The Colorado Avalanche have selected center Nils Aman out of the SHL, he is a double overager playing for Leksands after leading his U20 team in scoring last season. At 6’2”, 179, Aman will be 21 in February so his developmental track is a lot further along than other prospects taken this year.
Scouting Reports
As a double overager, there’s obviously not much publically available on Aman.
“A big and lanky overager that can play at center as well as on the wing, which is desirable for any NHL team. Aman is a strong skater who possesses very powerful first strides and can hit decent top speed with just a few long strides. His skating helps his overall game, allowing him to make up for his lack of high-end puck skills.” - FC Hockey
Elite Prospects has a quote about Aman from his GM, “A true center. Good hockey sense. Works hard both ways.” Thomas Johansson (GM) 2020
