The NHL is giving us with some afternoon hockey to start off the long weekend as the puck will drop for Game 7 at 2pm MT. Adding to the absurdity, the game will air on the USA network.

Colorado Avalanche

There’s a lot of unknowns going into the final game of this second round series with the Stars. Is Gabriel Landeskog going to be healthy enough to play? Is Conor Timmins going to be healthy enough to play? There doesn’t appear to be any help coming from Philipp Grubauer and Pavel Francouz, so can Michael Hutchinson win again?

Hutch has a +1.62 goals saved above expected in this series, but in two and a bit games, there’s no way to say if his hot run right now can last any longer. He looks dependable in net, but the defense in front of him really need to continue their run of good form protecting the front of the net, clearing bodies and rebounds.

There’s only one game left in it, 60 minutes, and hopefully not any more.

Projected Lines

Gabriel Landeskog* - Nathan MacKinnon - Mikko Rantanen
Andre Burakovsky - Nazem Kadri - Valeri Nichushkin

Ryan Graves - Cale Makar
Nikita Zadorov - Ian Cole
Samuel Girard - Kevin Connauton/Bowen Byram

Hunter Miska

Dallas Stars

The Stars have hid Ben Bishop away from this series, and will likely dress Anton Khudobin and prospect Jake Oettinger as the goalie tandem in front of an otherwise healthy lineup. Once again, the key for them is to get the puck to the front of the net and wins battles to score from there. Clean shots from the perimeter haven’t cut it. It’ll be Colorado’s job to force perimeter shots.

Jamie Benn - Tyler Seguin - Alexander Radulov
Mattias Janmark - Joe Pavelski - Denis Gurianov
Andrew Cogliano - Radek Faksa - Blake Comeau
Roope Hintz - Jason Dickinson - Corey Perry

Esa Lindell - John Klingberg
Jamie Oleksiak - Miro Heiskanen
Andrej Sekera - Taylor Fedun

Anton Khudobin
Jake Oettinger
