The long awaited Reverse Retro Jersey schedule has been revealed by the team. As expected the Colorado Avalanche will pay homage to the Quebec Nordiques in these gorgeous threads starting with their game against the Vegas Golden Knights in Lake Tahoe who will also wear their red Reverse Retro throwback jersey. No word on whether or not the Golden Knights or Anaheim Ducks will do the same in the following five games on the schedule.

Have no fear fans of the dark blue alternate, that jersey will return this season as well. As one of those aforementioned fans I will be thrilled to see this look back in action just next week when the old and current division foe Minnesota Wild are in town. It is nice to keep up the tradition of wearing this jersey against Central Division opponents even while that division is taking a break in this unique season.

Ryan Graves was recently on the always entertaining High Button Podcast and described his thoughts on the season thus far.

Some behind the the scenes footage of the California road trip including the much anticipated NHL debut for Bowen Byram. A little interview with Byram is also in the offering in order to help Avalanche fans get to know him since he will be around for a while.

I less fun news, the Avs announced yesterday that Matt Calvert will be out more and a game or two as he nurses an “upper body injury”. Given his history of concussions, that’s worrisome. The team also moved Pavel Francouz to the IR leaving Hunter Miska as the backup for the time being.
