Colorado Avalanche announce Development Camp and Rookie Tournament schedule

The Colorado Avalanche announced Wednesday afternoon their upcoming schedule for Development Camp and the Rookie Tournament hosted by the Arizona Coyotes. The release comes just in time as it well and truly prepares us for hockey season just right around the corner.

Development Camp starts next week with the team broken up into four groups. Groups 1 & 2 will first hit the ice this Sunday morning with groups 3 & 4 just a short time later, continuing throughout the week.

Some highlights of the schedule include a full-team practice on Monday, September 13th from 2:45-4:30 p.m. MT, and a 3-on-3 Burgundy vs. White game at 6 p.m. MT on Tuesday, September 14th.

All practices will be open to the media and fans who wish to attend on a first come, first serve basis. All practices will be held in the Family Sports Center in Centennial before the rookies roster travel to Arizona on Thursday, September 16th.

The Avs rookies will face three teams over four days, starting with the Los Angeles Kings on Friday, September 17th at 4 p.m. MT in the Scottsdale Ice Den.
