Before heading out east for a three-game road trip the Colorado Avalanche received some welcome news in that netminder Alexandar Georgiev has been named the second star of the week. His shutout performance against the Chicago Blackhawks certainly worked in his favor along with the overall strong start he has enjoyed to begin the season.
⭐️⭐️ Alexandar Georgiev posted a 1.67 GAA and .940 SV% during a 3-0-0 week with the @Avalanche which included a 37-save performance and his 14th career shutout. His 45 wins since 2022-23 pace all goaltenders.#NHLStats: https://t.co/YMtpji5wmj pic.twitter.com/JOrc2MZXCd
