Morning Flurries: Two more Avalanche selected to the All-Star game

Cale Makar and Alexandar Georgiev will be returning to Toronto in a few weeks.

The remaining 2024 All-Star selections were revealed and to the surprise of no one Cale Makar was named to his third consecutive All-Star game. The Colorado Avalanche teammate joining him and the previously announced Nathan MacKinnon is Alexandar Georgiev. This is the first time since Patrick Roy in 2003 that an Avalanche goaltender has been selected to the All-Star game.

Makar and MacKinnon are expected to participate in the skills competition as well which will be held on Friday, February 2nd. According to the NHL, it is a revamped event where 12 players will compete to earn points and win the overall prize of one million dollars.

As far as what the players will be wearing, the All-Star threads were revealed as well. There will be a fantasy draft and then the game on Saturday, February 3rd. All festivities will be at Scotiabank Arena, the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
