Ladies and gentlemen of the Avalanche fan base! We have actual hockey, against another real live team -- on ice! Score and time will be kept, checks will be administered, and a whole bunch of borderline players will be fighting to make the team. It's all so terribly exciting.
Colorado welcomes to Anaheim Ducks tonight to the frosty confines of the Pepsi Center. The exhibition match will feature a considerable amount of NHL regulars, but also see quite a few sit out in lieu of prospects and tryouts. No go for healthy veterans like Matt Duchene, Jerome Iginla, Erik Johnson, Francois Beauchemin, John Mitchell, Jesse Winchester, and Cody McLeod, all of whom we assume will make appearance in subsequent preseason games.
Puck drop is at 7:00 PM Mountain Standard Time.
It is not going to be broadcast on television, but Marc Moser and Altitude Radio have us covered both on the airwaves and streaming on the internet for Colorado-based fans (this may change). Here is a station guide for the various stations across the state that carry the program.
