As many of you are already aware: "UPDATE - April 16 Defenseman Zach Redmond (Traverse City, Mich.) has been added to the 2015 U.S. Men's National Team roster. The Colorado Avalanche and former Ferris State University defenseman will be representing the U.S. for the first time."
Back in 2007 Sports Interactive (company behind Football Manager/World Soccer Manager PC sim game) released a game called Eastside Hockey Manager, and I've been playing that on and off ever since. Sadly sales werent what they wanted, so they stopped development, but now its making a long awaited return!.
Out of the blue they released an updated early access version on steam last week of March, so now you can take over as GM for the Avs and prove that you've got what it takes to take em back to the highs of the Stanley Cup...
this is an early version, and the AI is in need of some updates, but its pretty good from the get go.

if Colorado doesn't win both games and falls further out of the playoff picture, expect Hejda to be moved to a playoff-bound team by Monday's trade deadline. The New York Rangers, looking for defensive depth for the playoffs, would likely have the most interest in Hejda as a playoff "rental."

Berra, currently on a conditioning assignment with the Lake Erie Monsters, is just the 11th goalie in 79 years to score a goal in an AHL game. The last to do it was Chris Holt of Binghamton in 2010.
