Back in 2007 Sports Interactive (company behind Football Manager/World Soccer Manager PC sim game) released a game called Eastside Hockey Manager, and I've been playing that on and off ever since. Sadly sales werent what they wanted, so they stopped development, but now its making a long awaited return!.
Out of the blue they released an updated early access version on steam last week of March, so now you can take over as GM for the Avs and prove that you've got what it takes to take em back to the highs of the Stanley Cup...
this is an early version, and the AI is in need of some updates, but its pretty good from the get go.
You can get updated rosters from these guys here
so that you get the actual players.

Berra, currently on a conditioning assignment with the Lake Erie Monsters, is just the 11th goalie in 79 years to score a goal in an AHL game. The last to do it was Chris Holt of Binghamton in 2010.

No surprise since they practiced together in the offseason but they may end up playing together during the Olympics "Sidney Crosby and Matt Duchene are both invited to the National mens Olympic selection camp in Calgary. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Avalanche young guns have been skating together with a group of NHL and AHL players in Halifax. Coach Mike Babcock might consider playing them together as they appear to have a strong chemistry after skating together for the past 3 weeks."
